NOTICE OF AGM 2026

BEARS Motorcycle Club Annual General Meeting 2026 will be held on July 1st at 6:30 PM. Venue: Bealey Quarter Function Room 263 Bealey Ave, Christchurch

All financial members are invited to attend.


Agenda

(a) Receiving any minutes of the previous Society’s Meeting(s);

(b) The Chair/President’s report on the business of the Society;

(c) The Treasurer’s report on the finances of the Society, and the Annual Financial Statements;

(d) Election of Committee Members;

(e) Motions to be considered;

(f) General business


At the close of the meeting there will be an open forum and discussion period where members can voice their opinions and ideas. A light supper will be provided.


Topics for discussion

  • The availability and cost of track hire. Possible opportunities to combine meetings with other clubs and the general viability and cost of motorcycle racing in the future.

  • Investments, track infrastructure, club rooms, pit garages.

  • BEARS official class rules and upcoming remits.

  • BEARS South Island Trophy and other opportunities for BEARS racing in NZ.

  • Growing our membership and participants. Future sustainability.


Nominations

Nominations for officers and committee will close at 5pm on the 26th of June.

Completed nomination forms should me emailed to secretary@bearsracing.nz


Positions - President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and up to five general committee members. The nominee, proposer and seconder must all be BEARS financial members. All existing officers & committee are eligible for re-election.

Committee will be decided by majority vote. You must be a financial member to vote and be present at the meeting.

Or

A member is entitled to vote by written proxy in favor of another member present at the meeting, but no other proxy voting shall be permitted. You must notify the secretary of whom you wish to vote on your behalf prior to the meeting date. secretary@bearsracing.nz
