Motorcycling New Zealand have issued a new safety rule effective immediately.
Road race 14.14
Super Motards are to ONLY race, qualify and practice with other Super Motards, they are not to be amalgamated into mixed classes with road race machines due to the speed differences, riding style and/or different lines the classes naturally take.
In light of this the BEARS M/C club have decided to run our upcoming meeting with the following changes.
All Super Motard machines will have their own practice.
If you ride a Super Motard you must compete in the lightweight open class regardless of machine capacity.
The lightweight class will have a split start. Lightweight open machines (Motards Only) will have their own flag drop followed by Lightweight ltd.
If Super Motards riders want a second class they will have their own flag drop start off the back of Formula two but no points will be awarded.
Super Motard machines cannot compete in Superstock ltd or any other class.
We are sorry for the late notice and any inconvenience but as this is an MNZ safety rule we have no other choice. We will look at our options going forward and keep you informed.
